AGIS Goes Green!
AG Information Systems strives to be environmentally friendly especially in our printing services. We constantly utilize FSC paper whenever possible. In 2008, AGIS used in its print management services, about 17 tons of text stock. By printing on FSC certified stock with a PCW of 30% we saved the following:
- 18 tons of wood (or about 287 trees)
- 85 million BTU’s (or enough energy to power an average home for 1 year)
- 10,751 lbs of CO2 (greenhouse gases) (or enough to keep 1 car off of the road for an entire year)
- 44,626 gallons of water (almost enough to fill an Olympic size swimming pool)
- 5,731 lbs of solid waste (almost enough to fill a full size dump truck)
